LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Vice President JD Vance is returning to Michigan this week, the White House announced on Monday.
Vance is scheduled to speak at an Auburn Hills manufacturing facility on Wednesday, March 18. No location or time was provided, and it isn’t clear whether the event will be open to the public.
In September, Vance visited Hatch Stamping in Howell, where he toured the facility and spoke with managers and employees.
During his 20-minute speech, Vance spoke about the economy — including President Donald Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” — and told Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, “all you gotta do is ask” for the president to send National Guard troops to Detroit, despite the city’s declining crime rates for the last several years.
